Great win for Mashel Al Naimi (QTR) of Ooredoo Racing Team into the start of the 2^nd Season of Bahrain Super Bike Championship (BSBK) held 21st October 2016 beating Aaron Moris (AUS) who came 2^ndand Mike Spike Edwards (GBR) for a 3^rd finishes at the floodlit state-of-art 2.55km Oasis Circuit. 

Mashel started  at the grid row 1 after emerging top from the qualifying practice with only 7 laps at average speed of (see results) 134.11km/h riding to a podium finish at the race 1 (heat duration-- 11 laps -- 12:41.223 1:08.081 9).At an average speed of 132.65km/h the Qatari high flying rider suredly defended his title at the Round 1 of the Season 2 of the Bahrain Super bike Championship (BSBK).

Speaking to his followers on his official Facebook handle Mashel expressed his delight in winning the very important race of the season.

I am very happy I won both races today. I thank God for this win in the first round of the tournament in Bahrain. I am very happy – Mashel Al Naimi

10 seconds timer was added as a penalty to Australian Wesley Pearce (GBR) who was unable leave the pit within the required time. The 10 seconds surely cost him to position 7 behind another Qatari rider in the tournament Ali AlShammari.
